Nina Wollny studied contemporary dance at the Rotterdam Dance Academy, now Codarts, in the Netherlands. After her graduation in 2002 she joined the company anoukvandijk dc and has worked there as dancer, rehearsal director and artistic assistant for more than 10 years. Since 2012 Nina is working with different choreographers in Europe amongst others she is regularly performing and collaborating with German choreographer Jenny Beyer at Kampnagel in Hamburg, Germany and in Norway she has worked amongst others with Mia Habib Productions, BodyCartographyProject and Molitrix Scenekunst. In 2021 Nina has also started to develop her own Solo work. Nina started teaching when she was 15 as a way to deepen her own understanding of dance. In 2004 she became a Countertechnique teacher and has taught various classes and workshops all around the world. Since 2020 Nina is back to exploring and deepening her own interests and methods to share movement and dance investigating how this relates to the form and function of the human body.

Om klassene:
Exploring and learning about how the human body works and how the different parts collaborate can have a strong and sometimes even magical impact on our movement, presence, perception and therefor influence and enrich the way we dance.

Each day the class will be based on one topic related to the form and function of the human body from a small simple detail to more complex connections and collaborations within the organism. Each topic will be explored by looking at visual material, free physical exploration, guided exercises and in physical connection and exchange with other bodies. The movement gradually accumulates into a movement phrase, that plays with all levels of space, speed, flow and the forces that move us.
